Detroit People Mover: Times Square Station
The Pewabic tile installation found in the Times Square Station of the Detroit People Mover was designed by artist and educator Tom Phardel. Phardel dedicated the largest tile mural of any People Mover Station to prominent Detroiter W. Hawkins Ferry. The artist drew inspiration from the Art Deco visual style when creating this high-contrast, custom design.
