These sweet mushroom tiles were designed by Pewabic Tile Pressing Fabrication Supervisor Kevin Kwiatkowski. Inspired by Pewabic founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton’s line-drawn tiles of various animal and plant life, Kwiatkowski’s mushroom tiles were inspired by his over 10 years of foraging in Michigan.

Morel mushrooms are elusive and grow unpredictably, but their delicate flavor has made them a favorite of foragers and restaurant-goers alike. They can be found in Michigan from late April to mid-June. May is even known as "morel month" in Michigan.
