This high relief rectangular tile features a three spindly sprouts coming from a carnivorous sundew plant. One tentacle has the line of flowers, another is a spiraled new sprout and the last has the plant's short tendrils that are used to grab onto their insect prey. Scott Weaver founded Weaver Tile in 2000 after spending four winters learning handmade tilemaking at Pewabic Pottery in Detroit, Michigan. When he decided to retire, he looked for an artist to carry on his work and found Robin Burke. Like Scott, Robin has a love for nature and wildflowers. She saw her painting and drawing work reflected in the Scott's tile designs and was excited to help people make a beautiful home environment through tile.

Robin trained with Scott in his studio, taking ownership of Weaver Tile in April, 2024. She continues to produce Scott's timeless designs by hand and looks forward to adding her own tile designs over time. Currently she works from Scott's original studio in Horton, MI, and will move to a studio at her home in Pinckney, MI in the fall of 2024.
