Framed Detroit Institute of Arts Postcard Tile
The fifth installation in our Postcards from Detroit giftware series features the stately architecture of one of Detroit’s most distinguished gems, the Detroit Institute of Arts. Built in 1927, the DIA’s impressive Greco-Roman columns and delicate carvings make the building itself a work of art. Our tile includes Rodin’s Thinker, a notable sculpture that reminds you of the struggle and endurance of the creative mind.
This hand-painted tile is framed in stained quarter-sawn oak by Family Woodworks. Family Woodworks is a family owned custom woodworking business specializing in custom Arts & Crafts style picture and tile frames. They have been crafting out of their workshop in southern Ohio for over 35 years.
