Oyster Mushroom Tile | Hand-Painted
$42.00
These sweet mushroom tiles were designed by Pewabic Tile Pressing Fabrication Supervisor Kevin Kwiatkowski. Inspired by Pewabic founder Mary Chase Perry Stratton’s line-drawn tiles of various animal and plant life, Kwiatkowski’s mushroom tiles were inspired by his over 10 years of foraging in Michigan.
The Oyster Mushroom is a widespread edible mushroom that is named for its shape rather than its taste. Oyster mushrooms regularly grow in dense clusters or in overlapping clumps on rotting wood, stumps, and even on the surface of standing, dying timber. They thrive on poplar and cottonwood trees in Michigan.
