Guardian Pattern Necklace

This colorful enamel necklace is modeled after the historic Aztec-like tile designs on the facades of the Guardian Building in downtown Detroit. 

Detroit’s “Cathedral of Finance'' skyscraper stands as a testament to the late-1920s Arts and Crafts era. With colorful mosaics and lofty curved ceilings, many modern Detroiters still call the Guardian Building their favorite feat of architecture in the city. Pewabic stands with 40 other artisans who created work for this spectacular building. You can visit our historic Aztec-like tile designs surrounding the large exterior arched windows and above the Guardian Building’s Griswold and Congress Street entrances.
