This line-drawn Three Flowers Tiles and center Bouquet Tile are from a series designed for the Sarah Caulkins Johnson House in Detroit’s Indian Village Historic District, not far from Pewabic Pottery. These designs later appeared as an element in many of Pewabic’s private installations including kitchens and bathrooms during the 1920s-50s.

Each tile rests in a quarter-sawn white oak Arts and Crafts-style key rack that is handcrafted by a Detroit-area woodworker using a five-part finishing process with a historic lacquer finish. The four wrought iron nail hooks ensure, as Ben Franklin said, there’s “A place for everything and everything in its place.”

  • 3 3” x 3” tiles with key rack measures roughly 14.25 x 8.5” x 2.25”
  • Includes the following hand-painted floral tiles -  2 Three Flowers Tiles and 1 Bouquet Tile.
  • Tiles are individually hand-pressed in our own stoneware and glazed by Pewabic artisans
  • Slight variations in glaze and firing results ensure each handcrafted Pewabic piece is one-of-a-kind
  • Glazed tiles in an oak frame

See the other floral tiles in this "Poppy palette" - the Rose Tile, the Cactus Flower Tile, and the Two Flowers Tile.
