Chris Baskin resides in Portland, Oregon. Baskin grew up in Georgia and has experienced life all over the United States. He built a ceramics program in New York and has been known to climb mountains to dig for his clay bodies.
Baskin wants his work to possess two main qualities; utility and accessibility. He finds states that "beauty is a way for me to connect across time and cultures". With these precepts in mind, he hopes that his art can connect you to an art tradition that has spanned the world.
